Our small suburb of Marburg is truly not world-famous, but that doesn't mean that there is nothing happening here — quite the opposite: bicycle trips, motorbike tours, canoeing, fishing, hiking... are just a few of the possible activities right on our doorstep!

The Lahn cycle path is part of Germany's Top River Routes, i.e. the most beautiful river bike trails in Germany!
Sustainability starts with transportation: From the source of the Lahn near Feudingen to the mouth of the Lahn river with the Rhine - on the almost 250 km long Lahn cycle path classified by the ADFC with 3 stars, you can cycle completely relaxed through the romantic Lahn Valley - past our Landhotel Bellevue. Stop by for refreshments halfway between Marburg and Gießen or even stay overnight.

The quiet Lahn is extremely popular with canoeists. Right in front of our hotel, there is a dock and drop off specifically for our guests, from where we are happy to organize canoe trips for you.LahnTours. The “Great Amazon Gate”, the classic canoe day trip, starts here. The route, which is around 20 km long through untouched nature and through a bird sanctuary, is a relaxing and varied adventure.

The Huguenot and Waldensian Trail European Long-Distance Cultural Trail is a marked hiking trail that follows the real historic escape routes of the Huguenots and Waldensians. In the Taunus region, the trail crosses several villages, meets the Lahn and then moves through the Hessian hinterland to Marburg. In the immediate vicinity of our hotel, a hiking section Drive towards Lohra or across Ebsdorfergrund to Marburg.
Would you rather less sport and action, but more culture? Then take the Grimm-Dich trail in Marburg, which, with fairytale characters at lofty heights on houses, stairs and walls, entices you to climb through the historic old town up to the castle with a difference in altitude of 109 meters.
The Zeiteninsel — Archäologisches Freilichtmuseum Marburger Land is a museum project under construction on the outskirts of Weimar-Argenstein, within walking distance of our hotel. In future, five time stations and the “island center” will bring eleven millennia of landscape and cultural history to life here.
